Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is this class required for a license?
    Yes, the GI-BMPs are required as a pre-requisite for the Limited Fertilizer License.  The applicator has until January 1, 2014 to apply for their Fertilizer License with the state.  Some cities, including Jacksonville, require that fertilizer applicators have their BMP certificate to make applications now.


  • Is there a test with this class?
    Yes, there is a short quiz at the end of the class.  The participant must pass by 75% to become GI-BMP certified and receive their certificate.


  • How much is the class?
    The class is $25.00 per person and includes lunch and materials.


  • How long is the class?
    The class includes 5 modules and begins at 8:15 am and ends at 3:30 pm.
