Pesticide Testing 2015

The Extension Office is not responsible for making sure you take the correct exam. 

We provide pesticide testing for the Restricted-Use Licenses, the Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance, Limited Structural, and Limited Lawn and Ornamental, and Public Health on the first Wednesday of every month.

Exams can be taken on the computer (except public health) here at our office.  Please see below on how to register for either.

Computerized Testing for Restricted-Use and Limited Exams

  1. Apply for an Examination Voucher with the State at https://aesecomm.freshfromflorida.com/. 
  2. Schedule your exam at https://pesticideexam.ifas.ufl.edu/scheduleExam.faces
  3. Bring your voucher number with you the day of the exam.
  4. If you are taking a limited exam then you need to bring a copy of your receipt where you paid and your 4-digit voucher number, plus your CEU forms and proof of insurance.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • What time does it start?
    Testing begins at 9:15 am or 11L30 am depending on when you signed up.

  • How long does it take?
    Each test is allowed 1.5 hours.  It depends on each person. 

  • Can I take more than one test in a day?
    Yes, but we recommend not taking more than 2 tests.

  • I don't know which test I need, how do I find out?
    Call your local Extension Agent, for Duval County and surrounding areas call Erin Harlow at 904-255-7450 or email her at erine@coj.net and she will help you or check out the ProHort website which will help guide you through the licenses.

  • What do I need to bring?
    If you are taking a restricted-use pesticide exam then you need to bring a picture ID.  If you are taking the LCLM (Round-up) then bring your check, application, insurance, and class form.  Forms can be download from the right-hand column.  If you are taking the LL&O then you need to bring your application and check.

  • What study material do I need to take my exam?
    Find out here at the ProHort website.
  • How do I find out my score?
    Scores are immediate for the Limited and Restricted-Use taken on computers.  Scores for paper version restricted-use licenses are posted 3-5 weeks after the test at the DACS website.  Scores for all other exams are mailed to you 6-8 weeks after testing.
