Urban Forestry

Urban forestry is the management of vegetation, particularly trees and forests, to improve the urban environment and the quality of life of people who live, work and spend their leisure time in urban and urbanizing landscapes.

An urban forestry agent is available to provide educational programs on urban tree management and to serve as a source for urban tree information to commercial tree companies and to the residents of Duval County. To contact the urban forester send an e-mail to: lfigart@coj.net.
