Family and Consumer Sciences

Our Mission

To link education with life experience to help people improve their lives, their families, and communities.

Duval County Family and Consumer Science agents bring you workshops, educational series, home study courses, newsletters, media articles, volunteer training programs, exhibits, demonstrations, publications and office consultations.  Volunteer support for these programs is provided by Master Food and Nutrition Educators, Home and Community Educators, and Children and Literacy volunteers.

Family and Consumer Sciences programs are delivered to anyone needing non-formal educational information.  Programs are scheduled at the request of groups and can be designed to target specific information for the audience.
