EFNEP Targets
EFNEP includes programming to reach two primary audiences: homemakers with infants and young children, as well as youth of 4-H age. The Primary audience is families participating in government subsidized programs such as food stamps, WIC, and Commodity Food Programs. EFNEP educational services are free to eligible families who have a desire to learn and improve their quality of life.
Methods and Materials
EFNEP will enroll limited-income clients in a series of 6-8 lessons. A trained paraprofessional will be prepared to teach each of the lessons from the curriculum topics. Each meeting will be about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Handouts are provided for each lesson and a certificate of completion is given at the end of the series.
